Touraine Azay le Rideau.
’It is a gentilhommière of the 16th and 17th centuries, built,
close to the hamlet of the Beautiful Cross, on the old way known as of
the Virgin leading of Chinon to Tours which borrowed Jeanne d' Arc before
crossing Indre by the ford of the Huault Port, on Tuesday April 5, 1429.
It is admirably located in the middle of its field of 35 hectares, bordered
on a side by the forest of Chinon and dominating of the other the valleys
of Indre and the Loire to far.
It is a gentilhommière of the Several dependences of the Castle
of the Rock are currently in the course of restoration in order to propose

in vine growing oenology.
He turns to good account his knowledge and his experience of Bordeaux
by taking the wine making appropriate for vintage wines. So was born its
Vintage Alexis wine of guarding, rewarded by a star to the Guide Hatchette
2006 and 2007 and which obtained in 2008 the first prize of the public
in the fair " The Loire in three vineyards " A wine to be discovered!!
The first tracks of vineyard in our region go back up in the neighborhood
of 980. The vineyard of the "Côtes of Forez" would have
been developed by Prieurés connected with Cluny then by the Counts
of Forez.
The vineyard is fed by a ground and a mixed basement, a rock and a granitic
but also volcanic arena. The magnesium and the iron contained in basalts
of Forez contribute to the organoleptic peculiarities of the "Côtes
of Forez"
Thanks to the récoltants wine growers, the range of our wines filled
out in Local wine of Urfé. A wide choice of vines is offered to
the amateur of wine. He can so sample the gamay of the naming in red and
rosé but also chardonnays, viogniers, grey pinots..
GELINEAU
(Vignobles) à Champ sur Layon (Gî)
Wines : Anjou, Anjou Gamay, Anjou Villages, Rosé de Loire,
Cabernet d'anjou , Coteaux du Layon, Vin de pays du Val de Loire.
For soon 4 centuries one has made wine in the family Gélineau They
are regularly medal-holders and quoted in all the guides.
I am called François or rather the Francois, father like one says
by on our premises. All those which already came here know me well, I
accomodate them at the entry of the Cellar every day that made God.
If you wish to prolong your stay, benefit from our lodging. It includes/understands
11 beds distributed out of 4 rooms with their privative bathroom, dining
room, kitchen and garden. You will find all comfort there (refrigerator,
microwave, furnace, lava crockery, washing machine, reader DVD, Chaîne,
library, chimney, etc…) as well as the proximity of the cellar with
tasting and my Bottles.

Our wine-producing estate of 18 hectares (almost 45 acres) lies
on the hillsides overlooking the Cher, in the Appellation Contrôlée
(AOC) region of TOURAINE, “Chenonceaux Country”. A range of
grape varieties allows us to produce a great diversity of wines: Sauvignon,
Gamay, Cabernet, Côt, Pineau d'Aunis, Chenin, Chardonnay...
Resulting from a family of wine growers established for more than 100
years on the commune of Stuffed, Jean-Pierre Germain has endeavoured for
30 years to develop and restructure the vineyard, with an aim of developing
the soil fully
Our estate has since 1996 been conducted according to the principles of
what is known in France as “agriculture raisonnée”
an environmentally-friendly system of agricultural management which minimises
chemical inputs. We have recently been certified to this effect by the

The Domain belongs to the family Charruau since 1722. The various generations
have never stopped developing and improving the techniques of wine making.
Our wines have laudatory comments in the various guides.
We shall be happy to welcome you in our guest house situated in the heart
of the Vineyard Saumurois. Rent 290 to 360 euros a week.
